Michael Rhein
Regional Vice President
Michael Rhein has built one of the nation’s most successful sales representatives networks providing products related to the built environment, particularly doors and windows.
From 1967 to 1970, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy, in the Supply Division. Following his military service, he went back to school, attending Pace University in the evenings while working during the day. During that period, he worked for both U.S. Plywood and IBM as a market analyst.
A family relationship provided Rhein the opportunity to join an existing firm as an independent manufacturer’s representative in 1977 serving window and door manufacturers as well the building materials industry. After several years, he became the principal of the company and has headed his own agency with a partner for more than thirty-five years, becoming one of the most respected names in the building materials industry.
His firm has represented various manufacturers who have made component products for windows and doors as well as full line manufacturers who produce completed windows and doors, which has now become his specialty. Several of Rhein’s business relationships date back for nearly forty years and he has developed clients’ businesses where they previously had no presence in the markets he covers.
Rhein holds a Master of Arts degree from Pace University in New York, majoring in International Trade and Macro Economics. His Bachelor of arts degree is from the Baruch School of Business at CCNY in Business Administration. He is also involved in leadership positions with various nonprofit organizations.
